HAWTHORN FOOTBALL CLUB SUPPORT
SONG2014 athletes Skye Cameron, Sarah Chaplin and Tim Chaplin joined Hawthorn Football player, Isaac Smith and SEDA Diploma students, at Waverley Park this month to announce the Club’s support for the Games.
As part of their coursework, SEDA students will be assisting with the coordination of SONG2014 volunteers in a range of ways including a Gala Day to integrate mainstream and specialist school students, learning and development materials for volunteers and encouraging attendance and awareness amongst primary school students.
Thank you to Hawthorn Football Club, Special Olympics athletes Skye, Sarah, Tim, SEDA program coordinator, Ben Heenan, and SEDA Diploma students Josie Gonzalez, Laura Breen and Jessie Hare.
We’re very excited to announce National Games ambassador, Carrie Bickmore, will be our official MC for the Law Enforcement Torch Run.
If you are in Melbourne on 19 October 2014 head down to Federation Square to see the Torch Run and hopefully you can also join us at the National Games Opening Ceremony the next day.
