COMPETITION VENUE

Melbourne Sports and Aquatics Centre - (Hall Courts 1 - 8, Showcourts 1 & 2) 1 Aughtie Drive, Albert Park 3206

MSAC has 10 state-of-the-art indoor basketball courts (inclusive of two show courts with grandstand seating capacity).  The 8 Hall courts will host the divisioning, and much of the round robin competitions, with the Gold medal matches to be played on the Show Courts 

SPECIAL OLYMPICS BASKETBALL FACTS & RULES

Basketball is one of the top sports at Special Olympics. Players take it up at all ages and at all abilities, from young players learning to handle the ball and keep it under control while dribbling to older, more experienced players who have the moves and know the strategies to play challenging ball.
