No. However, the Games will provide a number of family friendly activities including the Welcome event and the Siblings program.

Will I have access to competing athletes during the Games?

No. The National Games provides athletes with the opportunity to represent their state, experience traveling as part of a team and compete in quality competition. The Games gives athletes an opportunity to make new friends and develop their own sense of pride and achievement.

We ask the families, friends and supporters to respect that each athlete is in competition mode and the coaches and volunteers have worked very hard to prepare the athletes to perform at their best. It can cause disruptions to the team if families, friends or supporters visit the Athletes Village so it is restricted to the official State Team Delegations and Games Organising Committee. Any essential visit must be pre-arranged and sanctioned with the State Team Head of Delegation.

Can I travel with the competing athletes to competition venues?

No. Transport is arranged just for the athletes and coaches. This is so that everyone can focus on their sports goals. Families, friends and supporters are responsible for their own transport. As part of registering families, friends and supporters have access to free public transport for the 6 days of the Games.
